This is a great opportunity for programs that can manage the logistics -- weeklong day camps on Lake Merced offer kayaking, sailing, science and environment activities.
Scholarship funds are available for groups representing lower-income urban youth (scholarships for groups only). Groups need to commit to the full week of camp. The program is run by the San Francisco State University Department of Recreation, Parks and Tourism. See below for details; please contact Dr. Patrick Tierney at 415/338-1531 to discuss scholarships and logistics.
